About Us
At Lake of the Woods Psychotherapy, we are a group of independently licensed therapists who work collaboratively by sharing office space, resources, knowledge, and peer support. This collaborative approach allows us to offer a variety of therapy styles and areas of expertise in one place, helping you find support that feels like the right fit for you.
Our practice is built on shared values of collaboration, equality, inclusivity, and compassionate care. We approach our work through trauma-informed, client-centred, anti-oppressive, and wholistic perspectives - recognizing that every person’s experiences, relationships, and challenges are unique.
Above all, we believe that therapy works best when you feel emotionally safe, genuinely heard, and respected. The relationship between therapist and client is one of the most important parts of meaningful change and healing. We are committed to creating a welcoming and supportive space where you can show up as you are and feel understood in the complexity of your experiences.
